Hypopresives USA Initial position

Don’t forget these questions before starting hypopresives:

Who can perform Hypopresives?

Those who want to:

  • Recover their figure after child birth
  • Sculpt a smaller waist
  • Have stronger abdominal/core
  • Prevent or alleviate urinary incontinence, back pain, and hernias
  • Have a better sexual life, by increasing sensation and orgasms
  • Have more energy and endurance

How do you perform Hypopresives?

Look for a certified Hypopresive health professional to start the healthiest abdominal workout, well known in Europe and South America.

Who should not do Hypopresives?

  • During pregnancy
  • High blood pressure
  • Hypothyroidism

Difference between Hypopresives and traditional Abdominals (crunches, sit ups)?

2014 063The Hypopresive reduces the pressure in the intra-abdominal cavity responsible for that unwanted belly that does not go away even after thousands of sit ups.

Traditional abdominals make your abdominals stronger and at the same time increase the intra-abdominal pressure; pushing organs down, weakening your pelvic floor muscles and increasing the chance of having health issues such as urinary incontinence, hernias, sexual dysfunctions, and back pain.

Hypopresives make your abdominal muscles stronger and decrease the intra-abdominal pressure; putting organs back in place, making the pelvic floor muscles stronger, reducing waist perimeter, preventing and resolving health issues including organ prolapsed, diastis recti, hernias, urinary incontinence, back pain, poor posture, swollen legs, and sexual dysfunctions.

Do you know what the “Bucket of Water Challenge” is about?

Do you know what ALS is?

ALS stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Amyotrophic means: atrophy of muscle fibers leading to weakness and visible muscle contraction, spasms, and cramps.

Lateral sclerosis means: degeneration of the motor neurons of the lateral corticospinal tract.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive condition that causes progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and muscle cramps leading to paralysis and dead.

Do you know the signs and symptoms?

The first signs and symptoms are abnormal fatigue in the arms and legs, muscle cramps, dragging the feet with walking, tripping, dropping things, difficulty in talking loud, difficulty with swallowing, uncontrolled painful muscle contraction and spasms.

The ability to see, smell, heard, touch, or taste is intact, as well as the bladder, the sexual function, the mind, and the eyes muscles.

How long a person can live after being diagnosed with ALS?

The average life expectancy is 2-5 year of newly diagnosed patients with ALS.

What is the cause of ALS?

The cause is still unknown; however, some studies report that people with high risk of getting ALS are those with:

Toxic Chemical Exposure: (fertilizers, pesticides, gasoline fumes, deodorizers, rubber)

Heavy Metals (lead, mercury, aluminum, manganese)

Calcium and Magnesium Deficiency

Infectious diseases (Lyme disease, poliomyelitis, HIV)

Now you can say what the Bucket of water challenge is for. It is a social campaign to work together to become aware of a progressive condition called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The cold water bucket is a symbol that you are aware of ALS. You are part of spreading awareness about this progressive condition, and also aware of making a free contribution to help with research to find the cure of this aggressive condition that is changing lives in a way that nobody wants. But, it is bringing hope to patients, families, and friends, that hopefully one day we can find the way of curing this condition, and prevent it.

Diastasis Recti Abdominis after Childbirth can be resolved with Hypopresives

Diastasis recti abdominis is the split of the abdominal muscle in the midline of the abdomen as a result of stretching and thinning of the abdominal wall during pregnancy or vigorous physical demands after childbirth.

This separation can alter the function of the abdominal wall, producing trunk instability, back pain, hip pain, poor posture, weak abdomen, shallow breathing, and restrictive movements of the trunk predisposing the back to injuries.

To measure for diastasis recti abdominis lye on your back with knees bent, place your fingers horizontally across the middle line of the abdomen at umbilicus level. Lift your head and shoulder off the bed with the other arm straight and parallel to the bed, reaching toward the knees.

Any separation of two finger widths or less is normal, more than two fingers width is considered diastasis recti abdominis.

Diastasis recti would resolve gradually in the postpartum period during the first 40 days after delivery, however physical demands after postpartum can stressed the abdominal wall and increase the chance of having diastisis recti.

30 minutes of Abdominal Hypopresives exercises a week for 6-8 weeks  can resolve the diastasis recti.

Hypopresives help the abdominal muscle to recover the muscle tone, to reduce waist perimeter, and at the same time bring together the rectus abdominis without the need of surgery.

Include Hypopresive in your life and prevent Injuries in the Future!

Note: Women should be encouraged to refrain from rigorous physical activity after postpartum, to maintain a correct posture with lifting, carrying, bathing the baby, pushing the stroller for at least 12 weeks after delivery to prevent diastasis recti.

What to do for Pain in Neck and Shoulders?

Neck and Shoulder Pains are associated with High Physical Workload.

If you have to sit for long time working in front of a computer, in front of your patient, in front of your students, or just in front of the T.V you are in high risk of developing neck and shoulder pain.

Repetitive activities and lack of mobility contribute to pain, aches, and eventual injuries.

What to do to Prevent or Reduce Neck and Shoulder Pain?

Take two minutes every hour daily to stretch your neck, shoulders and arms.

Just follow this simple exercise with each arm:

If the pain is in right side of the neck and shoulder:

Grab right wrist with left hand, keep right elbow straight, right hand open, and palm outward, slowly

bring your left ear down to your left shoulder, hold for 30 seconds, and bring head up. Repeat two

You will see the difference! Less pain, less tightness, and more mobility.

Lose Weight Naturally Eating what Spring Season Offer to Us!

Eat according to the season to get fit, and lose weight.

This is the time to lose all the body fat and calories we accumulate over the winter that kept us warm and energized.

In winter, nature provides heavier foods such as nuts, oils, and other source of fat and protein to warm us against the cold days. That is why we tend to gain some extra pounds in winter!

In spring, nature provides food to cleanse the excess of fat and protein accumulated in winter.

If we keep eating a diet high in fat, calories, and protein,  our body will not have the time to catch up in digesting the excess from winter; and the excess of calories will be stored as fat. In addition, some of the excess will accumulate as toxins harming our health and predisposing our body to diseases.

Spring season is a low calorie and a low fat diet.

Minimize foods that are heavy, oily, sweet, and sour, Instead increase foods that are light, dry, bitter, and astringent, and watch how naturally you lose weight!

·         Nuts: Avoid nuts; instead eat pumpkin, pinions, and sunflower seeds.

·         Dairy:  Low-fat or nonfat no homogenized cow’s milk, substitute with rice milk.

·         Fruits: Reduce fatty heavy fruits (bananas, figs, dates, avocados, coconuts), replace for apples, pears, lemons, lime, pomegranate, and berries.

·         Grains: Reduce wheat; instead eat quinoa, rye, barley, corn, brown rice, and buckwheat.

·         Legumes: Any kind are good, the best are bean sprouts

·         Vegetables: Reduce tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, zucchini (it is not their season yet!),

Instead, eat more bitter greens vegetables, such as kale, leeks, arugula, cabbage family vegetable, alfalfa sprouts, beets, carrots, celery, etc.

·         Meat: Reduce red meat; instead eat in moderation more Freshwater fish, chicken, and turkey.

·         Oils: Use oil in moderation: The best choices are sunflower, safflower, olive and corn oil.

·         Sweeteners: Raw honey instead of raw sugar
